What to Expect The Tesla Construction Engineering team is seeking a Manager of Construction to lead the build out of Optimus manufacturing lines. This person will manage a high performing team focused on company critical factory construction projects including high volume Optimus and vehicle production. The manager will work cross-functionally with various internal and external stakeholders, interface with end users, and the manufacturing engineering team to ensure delivery of projects under schedule and under budget.As part of the EPC group, this team is focused on designing, collaborating, and building the first home of Optimus while continue to support critical vehicle programs.
What You'll Do

• Successfully deliver large, design build, and self-performed construction projects
• Ensure on time, or ahead of time delivery of construction projects, enabling your teams to solve problems and prioritize execution
• Promote a safe and quality driven culture, both project and company wide
• Coach and mentor counterparts and subordinates on excellence in the construction industry
• Use efficient and aesthetic communication methods to escalate roadblocks or communicate successes as necessary
• Employ a can-do attitude, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and aligned to the project's goals
• Provide the best product for your respective project's customer or end users, keeping projects moving forward and fixing concerns as they arise
• Foster an innovative environment amongst your team's and those within the EPC group to help Tesla succeed in accelerating the worlds transition to sustainable energy
• Provide strategic input into the construction organization, setting your teams future up for growth and success

What You'll Bring

• Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
• Ideally 10+ years of experience on large commercial or industrial construction projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills are a must
• Advanced knowledge and proven delivery on Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Safety and Controls scopes
• Ability to train and mentor colleagues on best practices for project management and execution
• Willingness to get your hands dirty as needed to complete objectives and lead your times through challenging projects
• Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals
• Have an inquisitive and open attitude to exploring new ideas and willingness to continuously learn
• Capacity to work long hours on demanding projects in high stress environments

Expected Compensation $172,000 - $258,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
