The Residence Manager is responsible for the administrative, operations, safety, and security of the Harbor House Program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise program monitors
Enforce and implement established rules and policies
Support administrative, programmatic, and resident-related functions
Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and inventory
Oversee the Residence Program Council
Supervise searched for contraband
Lead weekly personnel meetings and training sessions
Respond to emergencies and notify appropriate staff and authorities
Manage fire control, safety, and resident security
Oversee daily operations including staff hiring, scheduling, and training
Prepare and submit weekly statistical reports
Support resident discharge processes
Assist with driving responsibilities
Facilitate orientation sessions and residence meetings
Document and report incidents
Other related duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
CA driver's license (required)
Experience working in a Family Shelter Program and/or a Residential Treatment or Substance Abuse Program or equivalent (2 years required)
First Aid and CPR certification (within first fourteen days of employment - company provided).
Tuberculosis clearance (within first seven days of employment - company provided)
Experience and ability to work successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental illness, and other potential barriers to self-sufficiency
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
Proficient with Microsoft Office and office equipment
Maintains confidentiality with sensitive information
Strong organization and multitasking
Culturally competent with diverse populations
EQUIPMENT USED:
Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (usually file boxes)
