RV PARK COORDINATOR

The San Mateo County Event Center is a public assembly facility that hosts a wide variety of events, produces the San Mateo County Fair, and operates the Jockey Club and a satellite wagering facility for horse racing. The RV Park Coordinator supports and oversees the daily operations of the RV Park, including RV site reservations, RV parking and storage operations, traffic flow, guest services, and RV parking enforcement.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee daily RV parking and site operations to ensure smooth RV traffic flow and safe maneuvering throughout the park.
  • Coordinate RV arrivals, departures, site assignments, overflow parking, and enforcement of RV parking regulations.
  • Review and approve each RV or rig for basic safety standards.
  • Assist guests with RV positioning, backing, hookups, and park orientation.
  • Communicate RV Park rules, safety procedures, speed limits, and quiet hours to guests.
  • Manage RV site reservations, including check-in/check-out, payment processing, and customer service using RV park software.
  • Interact with RV guests using excellent customer service skills.
  • Resolve guest concerns and escalate issues as needed.
  • Assist with RV traffic and parking plans.
  • Provide direction and supervision to RV park attendants and support staff.
  • Maintain accurate records related to occupancy, revenue, incidents, and enforcement actions.
  • Oversee RV parking enforcement functions by applying park regulations and ensuring compliance.
  • Monitor controlled parking systems, gates, and access points.
  • Maintain awareness of effective RV traffic management and emergency response procedures.
  • Oversee opening and closing tasks for the RV park.
  • Maintain inventory and condition of all related RV parking supplies.
  • Coordinate placement and maintenance of RV site markers, directional signage, and speed control devices.
  • Ensure RV sites, roadways, and common areas remain clean, safe, and organized.
  • Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting of RV Park equipment.
  • Report and track RV site maintenance needs, including pedestals, hookups, lighting, signage, and roadway conditions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall Parking Department.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of RV park, campground, or parking lot operations, including revenue collection and enforcement procedures.
  • Prior RV Park, campground, parking, or venue operations experience preferred.
  • Strong cash management and loss control skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and reservation or parking software systems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing workloads and priorities.
  • Responsible, reliable, and dependable.
Minimum Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Availability to work long and irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must be able to speak, hear and see. Vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
