Summary:
Meta is seeking a proactive Privacy and Data Policy Lead, passionate about integrating privacy into product development. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping privacy product strategies for Facebook Threads and Instagram, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations while enhancing user experience. Your expertise will guide Meta's approach to critical issues like Data Access, Transfer, and Portability. You will also provide valuable insights for Privacy Marketing initiatives, driving collaborative efforts across teams.
This is a highly collaborative position that requires working with product managers, engineers, public policy experts, communications teams, and external stakeholders. You will act as a subject matter expert on privacy and data protection, evaluating policy developments and engaging with external experts.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional teams of product managers, engineers, and public policy specialists to address privacy, legal, and business requirements simultaneously.
Engage with external stakeholders to foster discussions on pivotal privacy issues.
Represent Meta at external meetings and conferences, articulating key privacy topics.
Facilitate consensus on innovative privacy solutions across new technologies and contexts.
Provide strategic advice to executive leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of 9 years of experience in privacy, public policy, or a related field.
Bachelor's degree.
In-depth knowledge of Meta's products, features, and policies.
Understanding of privacy policy and legislative frameworks.
Public Compensation:
$153,000/year to $224,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits.
