The Disabilities Services program provides comprehensive support for neurodivergent individuals and their families. We offer information, advocacy, care management, counseling, a vibrant social club, and residential support through the Gary Shupin Independent Living Community.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Director of Disability Services, the Direct Support Professional provides one-on-one and group instruction and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to assist them in living in their own residences. Direct Support Professional's coach and role-model activities of daily living including, but not limited to, morning and evening routines, personal hygiene, cleaning, laundry, daily chores, meal planning, cooking, budgeting, shopping, healthy nutrition, social interactions, community outings, and use of public transportation. Primary instruction takes place in the individual's home and local community.
