RoleSummary

The Assistant Theatre Manager at Cinemark plays a vital role in supporting theatre operations. You will ensure that policies and procedures are followed while helping to achieve high operational standards. You will gain comprehensive training across all departments, enhancing your skills to inspire your team. After completing our Management Accreditation Program and a minimum commitment of six months, you will have the potential to advance to a Senior Assistant Manager position and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager by effectively communicating decisions to the staff.
  • Contribute to all operational aspects of theatre functions.
  • Train and coach Team Members in their specific roles.
  • Assist with administrative and special reporting tasks for the General Manager.
  • Oversee inspections of theatre facilities, including the building, parking lot, and equipment.
  • Report necessary repairs for the property and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with dress code among theatre Team Members.
  • Engage with guests to enhance their experience and ensure Team Members provide exceptional customer service.
  • Learn and enforce Cinemark's policies consistently and fairly.
  • Address employee relations issues and follow reporting protocols as required.
  • Maintain a high standard of work ethic and conduct among all management members.
  • Identify and sanitize high-contact areas in the theatre.
  • Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
  • Respond promptly to safety and security issues.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • Completion of three foundational courses in the Management Accreditation Program.
  • Completion of basic food handling training and any required certifications.
  • Management members working with alcohol must complete Safe Alcohol Service training.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is necessary.
  • Possess a friendly and energetic attitude during shifts.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Capability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Ability to follow instructions and respond with urgency.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Competence in training and leading others.
  • Conflict resolution skills.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Regular bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing, walking, and reaching throughout the theatre on a frequent basis.
  • Work environment noise levels may vary from moderate to high.
  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
