As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, and support tenants and visitors with professional customer service. What You'll Do:
+ Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to property management and/or emergency services as required.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial property, including lobbies, corridors, common areas, loading and delivery zones, parking areas, and the building perimeter as assigned.
+ Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing visitor and contractor movement, verifying authorization when required, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in locations.
+ Complete routine rounds to check doors, gates, and other access points for signs of damage, malfunction, and/or unusual activity, and report maintenance concerns through the designated process.
+ Observe and report suspicious behavior, unsecured areas, and/or policy violations, using a consistent approach focused on de-escalation and customer service.
+ Document incidents, patrol activity, and guest or contractor interactions in written reports and/or electronic logs according to site requirements.
+ Coordinate with property management and/or building engineering teams regarding after-hours requests, tenant needs, and unusual conditions observed during patrols.
+ Support emergency response procedures such as assisting with building evacuations, directing occupants to assembly areas, and helping to maintain orderly movement during alarms.
+ Use radios, phones, and/or other communication tools to maintain contact with Allied Universal supervision and site personnel, providing timely updates on conditions and incidents.
+ Help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or property damage through high-visibility presence, routine patrol patterns, and prompt reporting of observed issues.
+ Follow post orders, dress standards, and client site protocols while maintaining a professional presence in a commercial real estate location.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Be 21+ years of age.
+ Lifting up to 20 lbs is preferred.
+ Alarm panel experience is preferred.
+ A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
