Associate Customer Service Representative

The Associate Customer Service Representative provides regional customers support via telephone and other communication channels for multiple districts. This position is located in San Mateo, CA.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide customer service via all communication channels addressing customer requests or inquiries concerning services, water quality and billing concerns.
  • Schedule field representatives for service calls, including turning off/on services, and respond to water quality and service disruptions.
  • Organize and schedule service delivery, billing, and collections.
  • Document work orders, respond to customer emails and update customer accounts.
  • Perform tasks associated with the daily, monthly, and all associated reports to ensure accurate accounting of operational activity.
  • Provide customers with information regarding Company programs and services.
  • Communicate with outside agencies and departments for service efforts.
  • Communicate between regional customer support center and local districts.
  • Process customer service paperwork as necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, co-workers and the public.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematic functions, calculate figures, and reconcile account information.
  • Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong reading and writing skills. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Clerical experience required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate billing protocols procedures, special programs and general field service delivery protocols.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and work in order of urgency and sensitivity

Work Hours:

The work schedule is Monday through Friday and shift to be determined.

Salary Range: $28.76 - $33.58
