About Role

We are seeking a Senior Lead, Outbound Product Manager Technical SEO & Schema to define and scale Milestones schema-driven discoverability capabilitiespowering search and AI/LLM discovery for hospitality and destination marketing brands. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, PMM, Customer Success, and Sales and is accountable for turning technical SEO and structured data into scalable, governed, and measurable platform outcomes.

You will serve as the outward-facing product leader and subject-matter expert (SME) for schema and technical SEObringing a strong point of view, owning voice-of-customer programs, enabling CSMs and revenue teams, and driving operational excellence for schema deployment across enterprise customers.

Problems We Are looking to Solve

  • Operationalizing Schema Deployment at Enterprise Scale

Enterprise customers struggle to deploy, validate, and govern schema consistently across large, distributed site footprints. We need a robust operating modelprocesses, tooling, and best practicesthat makes schema deployment repeatable and reliable.

  • Schema as a Platform Primitive for Search + AI Discovery

Structured data is foundational for modern search features and increasingly for AI/LLM retrieval and grounding. Milestone needs a product strategy to continue be the front runner for schema modeling, extensibility, validation, and governance aligned to schema.org.

  • Bridging Customer Requirements to Scalable Platform Capabilities

Customers bring complex CMS/DXP environments, legacy markup, third-party integrations, and compliance constraints. We need a leader who can identify patterns, reduce bespoke work, and drive productization into platform capabilities.

  • Driving Adoption and Customer Outcomes (Not Just Shipping Features)

Delivering schema functionality is insufficient unless it is adopted correctly and drives measurable discoverability outcomes. Outbound ownership is required to ensure enablement, rollout discipline, and continuous iteration based on results.

  • Institutionalizing Voice of Customer for Schema/SEO

We need structured feedback loops customer interviews, win/loss signals, and support insightsto ground roadmap decisions in customer reality and quantify impact.

Key Responsibilities:

SME, Customer-Facing Thought Leadership & Strong POV

  • Act as Milestones internal and external SME for schema and technical SEObringing a clear, opinionated point of view on best practices, trade-offs, and platform direction.
  • Engage with customer technical stakeholders and executives to explain technical concepts in business outcomes and build trust in Milestones approach.

Voice of Customer (VoC) Ownership & Market Insights

  • Own VoC for schema/SEO: define the program cadence (CAB topics, customer interviews, surveys), synthesize insights, and translate them into roadmap inputs and enablement.
  • Establish a repeatable win/loss and escalation insights loop with Sales, CSMs, and Support to identify gaps, prioritize fixes, and strengthen differentiation.

Outbound Product Strategy & Roadmap Influence

  • Define the outbound product strategy for schema-driven discoverability and technical SEO capabilities, including personas, use cases, packaging inputs, and adoption motions.
  • Partner with Inbound PMs and Engineering to shape roadmap priorities: schema coverage, extensibility, governance, validation tooling, automation, and integrations.

Operational Excellence for Schema Deployment (Process + Governance)

  • Work with Engineering, CS, and Delivery teams to define a robust operational process for schema deployment: standards, rollout steps, QA/validation gates, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Create reusable playbooks and checklists for schema onboarding, migration, and ongoing maintenance across customer sites.

Enablement for Customer Success (CSMs) and Field Teams

  • Enable CSMs with training, FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and customer-facing narratives so they can confidently drive schema adoption and handle common objections/edge cases.
  • Provide Sales/Solutions enablement for complex deals: technical narratives, proof points, implementation expectations, and success criteria.

Measurement, Adoption & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and track success metrics for schema/SEO capabilities: adoption, coverage, correctness, and discoverability impact; run post-rollout reviews and iterate based on outcomes.
  • Partner with Growth/Web and Analytics teams to connect schema deployment to measurable search and AI-discovery performance improvements.

30-60-90 Day Success Plan:

  • First 30 Days Learn, Diagnose, Align

Build deep understanding of Milestones platform, current schema implementation patterns, customer use cases, and technical SEO baseline. Audit existing tooling/process for schema deployment, validation, and monitoring; review top customer escalations and implementation gaps. Align with Inbound PM, Engineering, PMM, CS leadership, and key CSMs on priorities, operating model, and success metrics.

  • 60 Days Build Foundations & Enable the Field

Define the schema/technical SEO product strategy and a prioritized backlog of platform enhancements and process improvements. Launch the VoC cadence (CAB topics, interviews, win/loss loop) and publish a first version of the schema deployment operating process (playbooks, QA gates, monitoring). Deliver initial CSM enablement (training + documentation) and establish a consistent escalation/triage workflow.

  • 90 Days Execute, Scale, Prove Impact

Drive adoption of the schema deployment process across active customers and ensure CSMs are using the enablement assets. Ship or kickoff prioritized platform improvements with clear success criteria. Stand up dashboards tying schema adoption and validation quality to discoverability outcomes and customer satisfaction; run a post-quarter review and adjust plans.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are a technically strong product leader who can operate as the outward-facing owner of schema and technical SEO for an enterprise platform. You combine deep structured data expertise with pragmatic product thinkingbiased toward scalable abstractions, operational rigor, and measurable customer outcomes.

You can act as a credible SME and thought leader for customers, bring a strong POV, and lead cross-functionally without authoritypartnering with Engineering, Inbound PM, PMM, and Customer Success to drive adoption and impact.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • 812+ years of Product Management / Technical Product experience in B2B SaaS, platform, or developer-facing product environments.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in technical SEO fundamentals (crawlability, indexation, rendering, performance, canonicalization, structured data).
  • Strong expertise in schema.org, structured data modeling, validation, governance, and rollout at scale (templates, rules, QA gates).
  • Experience with CMS/DXP ecosystems, large-scale content platforms, and common integration patterns (APIs, feeds, tag management, third-party systems).
  • Proven ability to build operational processes and playbooks for customer deployments and to enable Customer Success teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to translate technical complexity into clear outcomes for executives and practitioners.

? Error-free markup %, validation pass rate, and reduction in schema-related incidents.
