Estimator – Summary Job DescriptionApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. No visa sponsorship is available for this position.OverviewThe Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive bid proposals. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a solid understanding of civil construction processes and cost drivers.Key ResponsibilitiesReview plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop complete and accurate estimates.Perform and verify quantity takeoffs; analyze labor, material, equipment, and project‐specific cost factors.Identify project risks and collaborate with senior staff on mitigation strategies.Prepare bid proposals, cost breakdowns, and value‐engineering options.Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.Submit RFIs, participate in bid reviews, and ensure timely, compliant bid submissions.Use historical cost data and estimating software to validate estimates.Attend site visits and preconstruction meetings as needed.Support project handoff to field operations and assist Project Managers with cost control.RequirementsExperience5+ years in civil construction.Minimum 2 years estimating experience.EducationBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Architecture, or equivalent experience.SkillsProficiency with MS Office, AGTEK, Bluebeam, Primavera.Experience with HCSS HeavyBid preferred.Strong knowledge of civil engineering and construction principles.Understanding of agency (U)DBE requirements.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.What you would getCompetitive Salary of $140,000-$170,000Healthcare Benefits 100% of employee and 75% of dependent premiums are paid , 401k, Life/Disability Insurance, 401K Plan, vacation, and sick pay
