Tutor Position In Vallejo

HeyTutor has partnered with a school district in Vallejo and we're looking to hire tutors who can assist TK-12th grade students during and after regular school hours. You'll be actively supervising students as you help them catch up from learning gaps developed over the past school year. You must be comfortable passing an in-person background check. Job Duties

1. Working with groups of students (without the support of a teacher or school site staff)
2. Prepare area to start tutoring session
3. May be responsible for picking up and dropping off students from designated areas in school site
4. Take attendance and run lessons through HeyTutor Dashboard (if applicable)
5. Document student progress with HeyTutor Dashboard
6. When requested by manager, facilitate students taking and completing baseline and summative assessments
7. Leading a group of students in the tutoring session, using curriculum and materials provided by the program
8. Creating an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging that kids want to be in
9. Supporting students in making positive behavior choices
10. Engage and interact with tutoring lessons alongside the students
11. Daily clocking in and out of Deputy for shifts
12. Any other duties that may be required by the company, your manager and/or the school site

Pay: $25-$30/hr

Pay depends on a combination of education and experience and will be determined at the time of the interview

Schedule: Monday-Friday. 6.5-8 hours per day. 6 Tutors needed during and after-school

Requirements:

• Must have completed an AA or higher, or be currently enrolled in college/university
• Tutoring experience (great at working with kids)
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting
• Clear FBI-DOJ background check
• Bilingual with proficiency in both English and Spanish to assist bilingual students is required
