The Community Programs Assistant supports the delivery of engaging and enriching experiences for youth and families at the Chinatown YMCA. Working under the supervision of Program Site Coordinators and Directors, this role assists with enrichment activities, family events, and food programs. The ideal candidate is flexible, proactive, and dependable, with a commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and positive environment throughout the program.
This position operates in a dynamic youth program setting, which may include indoor and outdoor environments. The role requires frequent movement, including standing, walking, bending, and engaging in physical activities with youth. Candidates must be able to lift up to 25?pounds and demonstrate the ability to actively supervise participants. The work schedule may include weekends and occasional evenings, depending on program needs.
The salary for this position ranges from $20 to $22 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and internal salary benchmarking. Compensation is aligned with grant funding approval and budget availability for the position as required.
