As the largest nonprofit affordable housing provider in the nation, we build, preserve, and manage program-enriched housing across the country.The Regional Maintenance Specialist will collaborate with the Property Management Team and Regional Facilities Manager to complete special assignments and projects, coordinate and plan maintenance activities, equipment needs, and predictive or preventative maintenance programs. Provide training, mentoring, and education to diverse site-level staff. Review and provide expertise on maintenance operations for several properties in the San Francisco region. You will be the "go-to" subject matter expert on maintenance operations.We encourage candidates with lived experience to apply. This is an on-site position.Pay: $90,000-95,000/salary DOEBenefits:* Several Healthcare plans to choose from, dental (includes adult and child orthodontia) and vision* 15 days of earned PTO your first year, 12 company holidays + 2 floating holidays.* 403b + match* Early close Fridays (3 paid hours each Friday)* Early close prior to a holiday (3 paid hours)* Paid Time off between Christmas and New Year's Holiday* Paid Volunteer Time* Paid Parental Leave and Care Giver Leave* Paid Life Insurance* Free Employee Assistance Plan* Free Basic Dental* Pet Insurance optionsDuties:* Collaborate with property and facilities leadership to achieve property budgets.* Drive the successful execution of capital projects, adhering to quality standards while optimizing cost efficiency.* Review and certify competitive bids are complete and reasonable.* Conducts pre-Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC) and pre-Management Occupancy inspections.* Participates in the annual property inspection process* Provides guidance in managing building systems and repairs and complex maintenance issues.* Assist in insurance claim mitigation and rebuild work by ensuring timely and efficient claims processing to minimize financial impact.Minimum Qualifications:* High school diploma or equivalent.* Minimum of five (5) years in skilled maintenance work required.* Technical expertise in one or more building trades and EPA Universal Certification.* Two years of supervisory experience.Preferred Qualifications:* Technical certifications.Knowledge and Skills:* Comprehend and communicate in the English language, both orally and in writing.* Read and interpret electrical, plumbing, and mechanical diagrams and blueprints.* Ability to make working sketches, use maintenance, trade, and testing equipment and tools.* Interpret and understand maintenance information generated from property management software reports.This is a brief summary of the position.* Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Act, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
