Media Blasting Technician
Location: Fremont, CA

Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM; Pay: $20.00 per hour
• 2nd Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM; Pay: $22.00 per hour

Job Overview
We are hiring a Media Blasting Technician to support surface preparation operations in a manufacturing environment. This hands-on role involves operating blasting equipment, inspecting parts for quality, and maintaining a safe, organized work area. Training is provided for candidates with strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate media blasting equipment to clean, strip, or prepare surfaces
• Select and apply appropriate blasting media based on job requirements
• Inspect parts before and after blasting to verify quality standards
• Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic maintenance
• Record surface roughness (RA) measurements accurately in tracking systems
• Complete daily 6S tasks to maintain a clean and safe workspace
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
• Maintain accurate production and material usage records
• Assist with other shop or production tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or shop experience preferred but not required
• Ability to follow work instructions and safety guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Comfortable working in a hands-on production environment
• Ability to work assigned shift and stand for extended periods
