Warehouse Operations Associate

As a Warehouse Operations Associate, you will be responsible for managing all incoming materials at the Pilot Plant. Your role is crucial in ensuring that raw materials, consumables, and spare parts are accurately stocked, tracked, and stored in alignment with quality guidelines. You will work in collaboration with the production team to prepare and kit supplies for upcoming production runs, maintaining an organized and navigable warehouse.

Responsibilities:

  • Pick and deliver materials from the warehouse to the manufacturing floor.
  • Resolve system challenges and errors encountered during material picking.
  • Stay aligned with production needs by referencing the manufacturing calendar.
  • Communicate regularly with the manufacturing team through shared channels.
  • Manage incoming requests efficiently via chat or email.
  • Access and utilize a laptop and additional warehouse computer as needed.
  • Download and use mobile applications to stay connected throughout the day.
  • Follow QA processes for receiving materials to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in receiving shipments and storing them according to the ERP system.
  • Perform regular inventory checks and cycle counts.
  • Assist with shipping small packages, including packaging, labeling, and preparing shipments.
  • Organize materials in the correct storage areas for easy access.
  • Receive and manage incoming GMP raw materials, components, and supplies.
  • Oversee and ensure the kitting process aligns with the Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.
  • Communicate clearly with production and quality teams.
  • Adhere to lot tracking and quarantine procedures.
  • Transport and distribute approved GMP raw materials and supplies as needed.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong inventory control and management skills.
  • Ability to effectively use ERP systems and manage data entry.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Technologically savvy and capable of staying composed under pressure.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a warehouse or lab setting.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management best practices.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Valid CA Driver's License.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Forklift experience preferred, with knowledge of stand-up, sit-down, and walking stacker forklifts.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and Smart Sheets.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Berkeley, CA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
