Warehouse Specialist

Load and unload trucks using fork trucks, forklift, manual lifts, dollies, and skids comparing identifying information such as counts, weights, or measurements to verify information against bills of lading Make wood crates for Ball screw/Shafting shipments. Cutting saw and nail gun familiarity is good. Process requisitions, jobs, and miscellaneous transactions in computer system as needed. Communicate essential information to the supervisor as required. Adhere to all division health and safety regulations including 5S responsibilities. Prepare work orders for packaging, process shipment, confirm work orders in ERP system to keep the correct Inventory in the system. Maintain shipping area through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis. Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to meet customer demand. This could be scheduling international or local shipment. Will close out work orders when required to do so Contact customer via email or phone to obtain shipment related information Contact a third-party logistics company to schedule shipment Utilizes shipping carrier software systems, such as UPS, Federal Express, DHL and any other shipping companies to generate appropriate shipment documentation Generate packing lists, shipping labels, bar code labels as required, bills of lading, and any other packaging documentation which may be required for shipment

1-2 years of experience as inventory control specialist or a similar position, required Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to perform math calculation (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, etc.) Intermediate computer skills required Prior experience with Oracle or similar ERP program is preferred Basic carpentry skills are a plus. Cutting saw and nail gun experience. Ability to read a tape measure

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, CA.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
