Our client-a global leader in third-party logistics (3PL) and supply chain solutions-is looking for motivated Material Handlers to join their fast-paced distribution center. Responsibilities
1. Shipping and Receiving
- Loading/Unloading: Safely load and unload freight from trucks, containers, and pallets.
- Verification: Reconcile inbound and outbound manifests against physical goods to ensure accuracy.
- Processing: Label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight as it enters or leaves the facility.
- Damages: Identify and document any damaged or misrouted shipments immediately.
- Order Picking: Use scan guns or WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) to accurately pick customer orders.
- Staging: Move picked items to designated areas for packing or shipping.
- Packaging: Securely package, band, shrink-wrap, and palletize products according to client requirements.
- RMA Processing: Handle returns (RMA) by inspecting, re-stocking, or scrapping items as directed.
- Replenishment: Maintain stock levels at work centers by moving materials from storage to production areas.
- Cycle Counting: Assist in regular inventory counts to ensure system accuracy.
- Record Keeping: Update inventory locations and quantities in the WMS (often SAP or similar systems).
- MHE Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inspections: Perform pre-shift safety inspections on all equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents and optimize workflow.
