Position Overview: As a Store Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment for both associates and customers. Your presence at store entrances and on the sales floor will help deter theft and fraud. Your responsibilities include greeting customers warmly and monitoring the store to identify potential security issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of all associates and customers, maintaining a visible presence at the entrances/exits and floors.
  • Customer Engagement: Provide excellent customer service by greeting each customer and addressing their questions in a friendly manner.
  • Theft and Fraud Prevention: Monitor for suspicious behavior and assist in mitigating theft through proactive measures.
  • Training and Education: Collaborate with store leadership to educate staff on loss prevention strategies.
  • Compliance and Accountability: Adhere to company policies and procedures while communicating effectively with store leadership and loss prevention teams.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
  • Experience in retail management or loss prevention is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and excellent customer service abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and effectively resolve conflicts.
  • Must comply with all applicable federal and state laws for security positions, including background checks and potential drug testing.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods; regular walking and moving around the store.
  • Must be able to lift or move objects weighing more than 25 lbs.

Compensation: The base pay range is $17.00 - $17.50, dependent on experience and qualifications.
