Engagement Manager, Community Values Impact and Innovation
The Engagement Manager, Community Values Impact & Innovation, advances MidPen Housing's mission by leading community engagement and project management efforts, managing outreach projects, fostering strategic partnerships, and supporting department priorities in attraction, retention, and resident engagement. In this cross-functional role, the manager collaborates with internal teams and external partners to strengthen staff morale, enhance community-aligned practices, improve outreach communications, represent MidPen at public events, and use data-informed strategies to increase impact. The role also includes planning and executing community programs and events, developing tracking methods and outreach plans, and maintaining relationships with community organizations that reflect and support resident populations to ensure effective and relevant initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver community outreach projects, managing stakeholders, resources, and alignment with department priorities.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to build and maintain a responsive community of partners.
- Develop clear project work plans and timelines that promote transparency, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Delegate tasks strategically to enhance team performance while monitoring progress and managing budgets effectively.
- Implement new tools and methods to improve project effectiveness, efficiency, and resident-centered outreach strategies.
- Analyze performance data to produce summary reports and provide recommendations that guide decision-making.
- Create and refine systems for tracking and reporting outreach progress across teams and partners.
- Support organizational initiatives by proposing new efforts and leveraging networks to strengthen engagement pipelines.
- Provide strategic guidance to ensure outreach activities align with community needs and priorities.
- Build and sustain partnerships with community-based organizations to strengthen local relationships and engagement.
- Engage in community events to facilitate communication and strengthen internal and external stakeholder connections.
- Support multilingual and inclusive communications by collaborating with translators and designing comprehensive outreach plans.

Physical Requirements - Ability to travel throughout MidPen's 12 county footprint, among MidPen offices, and properties
- Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks
- Stand/walk; reach/work above shoulders; perform light or fine manipulation; grasp forcefully; use a telephone; sort and file paperwork; and lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Stand/walk outdoors for extended periods of time, load and unload boxes, tables, chairs or other event materials
- Rarely twist, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, or crawl
Education and Experience - Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Three (3) years of project or program management, community engagement, and volunteer management experience with a minimum of two (2) years Affordable Housing knowledge (professional or lived experience)
- Experience actively planning and executing community outreach programs and activities, including engagement and consensus-building efforts beyond general community interaction
- Relevant professional certificates or certifications in areas such as community engagement, change management, business intelligence, or project management preferred
Pay Range $70,304 - $86,320 Annual Salary - Pay based on applicable experience and qualifications
