We are currently seeking an experienced Chief Fire Officer to oversee the development, maintenance, and execution of emergency response plans at our facility.

As the Chief Fire Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and preparedness of our team through effective emergency response programs. Our team prioritizes innovative ideas and diverse perspectives, providing a dynamic environment for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive emergency response plans and procedures.
  2. Lead the facility's fire brigade and operational emergency measures during incidents.
  3. Ensure emergency response equipment is maintained in compliance with regulations and corporate integrity programs.
  4. Foster strong working relationships with local regulatory agencies and mutual aid partners.
  5. Conduct fire prevention and response program exercises to meet legal compliance standards.
  6. Create and manage a training program for the emergency response team according to industry standards.
  7. Provide expert guidance in Fire Safety and Emergency Response initiatives for the facility.

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • High School diploma or GED with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience or Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 4 years of experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with the Incident Command System.
  • Experience facilitating or supporting Exercise Design and Execution at Tiers 1 and 2 levels.
  • Proven experience managing Emergency Preparedness compliance tasks for various regional federal and state agencies.
  • Able to lead basic emergency response initiatives.
  • Knowledgeable of FEMA Incident Command System 400.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Capable of wearing PPE and performing physical tasks in the field.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC Card.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without future VISA sponsorship.
  • Ability to respond to emergency calls and willingness to relocate within 50 miles of the facility.

This position offers flexible work schedules of either 9/80 or 5/40 and requires after-hours on-call duties once a week. The core business hours are from 7 AM - 3:30 PM. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.

The job is posted until January 31, 2026. Actual title and pay grade will depend on the selected candidate's experience and qualifications.

Pay: $119,900.00 - $179,800.00 Salary
