divh2Cashier Position at Ace Retail Group/h2pThe Cashier is responsible for register transactions involving the sale and/or return of merchandise./ph3Customer Service/h3ulliProject a positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware./liliGreet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers by name, when possible, when they are leaving the store./liliProject a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates./liliClear customer checkout lines quickly and efficiently./liliAnswer and monitor all calls and pages promptly, courteously and effectively./liliCommunicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance./liliContinually build product knowledge base and possess the ability to assist customers with store layout and product location./liliAssist in pricing, stocking, marking and bagging of merchandise./li/ulh3Register Operations/h3ulliFollow all cash register transaction procedures./liliResponsible for balancing of register drawer./liliAdhere to any Store Support Center program or promotion that may require implementation at the cash registers./liliParticipate in store and Cashier meetings./li/ulh3Front End Appearance and Upkeep/h3ulliKeep the front end, including checkout areas and entrance doors neat and clean at all times. Face and dust front end./liliAssist with keeping impulse counters stocked and faced, rotate fresh merchandise in as seasons change./liliEnsure fresh ads are stocked in shopping carts at all times./liliEnsure forms and supplies are stocked at all times./liliAssist with decorating the front end according to the Store Support Center program./liliCall for cart pickups when necessary./liliInform management when merchandise returns need to be put away./liliPerform all other duties as assigned./li/ulh3Other Essential Requirements/h3ulliAbility to exhibit and incorporate our Core Values into daily decisions and interactions with others:/liliWINNING In business, money is the score.
