The Medical Legal Coordinator/Assistant works directly with our Med Legal Administrator to coordinate and oversee the medical legal scheduling and reporting process. A successful candidate will have a sharp eye for detail and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Whatyou willdo:

• Answering phones, setting appointments, report processing & coordination of records.
• Collect pertinent claim information from medical providers, insurance carriers or attorneys including medical records, work abilities, and appointment information.
• Prepare and send correspondence to various recipients at the direction of the Administrator
• Document file notes with pertinent information in a clear, easily understood manner.
• Ensure that work is performed in accordance with Company standards, training, and supervisory direction.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Assumes other responsibilities as appropriate to the position and organizational needs

Qualifications:

• Minimum2+years of experience in a medical clinic or physicians office.
• One-year data entry experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of Workers' Compensation
• EMR experience (IMS preferred)
• Ability to work independently
• Required education: High school or equivalent

Compensation Range:

$25.00 to $29.00 Hourly

All compensation ranges are posted based on internal equity, job requirements, experience, and geographical locations.
