Job Details

A private family in San Francisco, CA seeks a warm, active, and engaging temporary Nanny to care for their young children. This is currently a temporary position, March through October, with a live-in OR live-out option. The primary schedule is Monday through Friday, roughly 7:00am – 5:00pm, with flexibility to work additional hours or weekends as needed. The family values a collaborative, team-oriented Nanny who will provide nurturing, safe, and stimulating care alongside another full-time Nanny.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, energetic, and comfortable creating a structured yet fun environment for three active children. The primary care will be for the youngest child (toddler), while the older children are in school, however this role requires someone who feels confident caring for all children independently when there is no school. A willingness to be hands-on, adapt to evolving routines, and pitch in where needed will be key to success in this role. Travel is not required for this position, though there may be optional opportunities for travel if interested. Salary range will be $50-$60/hour, dependent on experience for the live-out option. Live-in option is TBD but flexible.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing attentive, hands-on care for three young children (with a sole focus on the youngest while the older two are in full-time school)
• Creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment with age-appropriate developmental activities
• Managing and preparing breakfast, snacks, and additional meals as needed for children
• Supervising swimming and water play; must be confident in the water
• Assisting with children's daily routines, including meals, naps, and bedtime
• Handling children's laundry and light tidying related to the children
• Assisting with light household tasks, errands, and helping to manage groceries
• Driving responsibilities; driving children to/from school, errands, groceries, etc.
• Occasional optional travel with the family, if mutually agreed upon
• Additional Nanny responsibilities as needed and requested by the principals

Requirements:

• Fluent in English; exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
• 4-year degree from an accredited College or University a PLUS (but not required)
• Minimum 3-5+ years related experience working in a similar position(s) with a private family; baby and toddler experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of general First Aid and CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
• Poised and professional in both mindset and manner; use of utmost discretion and confidentiality at all times
• Work with integrity, successfully collaborate and work well with other team members, and maintain a positive and professional attitude
• Pro-active self-starter who is adaptable within the role, punctual, reliable, and courteous
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employer, family members, guests, and property
• Energetic, hands-on, and able to keep up with young children
• Must be able to adapt to the changing needs of the family and adhere to guidelines set by parents
• Confident swimmer; able to supervise children in and around water
• Valid Driver's License: vehicle will be provided by client
• Prior experience traveling with families as a nanny a PLUS; valid passport a PLUS
• CA Trustline Certified
• Legally able to work in the United States for any employer
