Trident Consulting is seeking a " Forklift Operator " for one of our clients. A global leader in business and technology services.

Role: Forklift Operator
Location: Allentown, PA
Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Rate: $20/hr - $23/hr on W2

Description:
This is a hands-on warehouse and distribution role requiring experienced sit-down forklift operators to support inbound, outbound, and inventory operations in a regulated chemical distribution environment.

• Operate sit-down forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently
• Load and unload trailers/trucks with raw materials, finished goods, and waste
• Perform order selecting, material put-away, and staging (including high racking)
• Pack and prep outbound shipments; unpack inbound materials into inventory
• Conduct and document daily equipment inspections
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Accurately track inventory movement using RF scanners and manual logs
• Follow all safety protocols, SOPs, and compliance requirements
• Demonstrate excellent attendance and schedule adherence

Must-Have

• 5+ years of sit-down forklift experience (non-negotiable)
• Strong warehouse/distribution background
• Experience with RF scanners, pallet jacks, and packing equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Comfortable working on feet for 8-hour shifts
• Fluent English communication (read, write, speak)
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Technical & Physical

• Experience with PCs, printers, and basic warehouse systems
• Ability to work around chemicals with PPE
• Strong situational awareness and safety-first mindset
• Excellent vision, depth perception, and hand-eye coordination

Environment & Compliance

• Forklift operation required
• Exposure to chemicals → PPE required
• Heavy lifting involved
• No respirator, laser, animal handling, or biological exposure
• OSHA-compliant warehouse environment
