As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned shelter locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. What You'll Do:
+ Provide customer service to clients, residents, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and by responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any unusual conditions.
+ Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a welcoming environment.
+ Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel at Allied Universal and/or the client site.
+ Assist with access control and visitor management procedures as directed by site-specific guidelines.
+ Work collaboratively with shelter staff and residents to address concerns and provide support as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
+ At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
+ Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
+ Alarm panel experience is preferred.
+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
