About the ProjectnSepal is conducting a qualitative research study to define benchmarks of professional excellence in medical records and health information management. We are looking for experienced professionals to contribute their expertise through structured documentation of their work, creation of domain specific screening criteria, and development of high quality case studies.nSelected contributors will help shape an industry informed framework for evaluating medical records and health information management expertise, with a focus on real world practices, decision making, and professional judgment.nnIdeal Participants May Hold Titles Such Asn- Medical Records Specialistn- Health Information Techniciann- Medical Codern- Clinical Documentation Specialistn- HIM Analystn- Medical Records CoordinatornnRequirementsn- Associate's degree or higher in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or a related health fieldn- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in medical records management, coding, or health information systemsn- Proficiency with electronic health record systems and medical coding standards (ICD 10, CPT)n- RHIT, CCS, or CPC certification strongly preferredn- Fluent in Englishn- Currently residing in the United States or Canadan- Access to a computer with stable internet and video conferencing capabilitiesn- Comfortable with remote work tools (messaging, video calls, uploading documents)n- Able to work independently and follow written instructionsnnWhat You'll Don- Share your professional journey, coding expertise, and health information experiencen- Help define field specific evaluation criteria used in medical records hiring and performance assessmentn- Document at least one substantial records management project, coding audit, or system implementation, including context, approach, challenges, and outcomesn- Participate in short feedback or calibration sessions as needednnCompensation & Logisticsn- $35 to $55 per hour, depending on expertise and relevance, with bonuses for key contributionsn- Begins with a paid trial periodn- Paid every two weeks based on approved and tracked hoursn- Fully remote and async friendly, work at your own pace within flexible deadlinesn- Location: United States or Canada
