Civil 3D Drafter / CAD Designer
Hybrid Schedule | Full-Time, Direct Hire

Oxford Solutions is hiring a Civil 3D Drafter to support engineering and construction design projects for a client in the Pittsburgh area. This role offers a hybrid work schedule and the opportunity to collaborate closely with project engineers on site development, utility, roadway, and other civil infrastructure projects.

In this position, you will use AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare design plans, models, and technical drawings from sketches, notes, and direction provided by the engineering team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong drafting foundation who is looking to expand their design skills in an innovative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce Civil 3D drawings including site layouts, grading plans, profiles, cross-sections, and supporting details
• Prepare preliminary layouts and detailed construction drawings from engineer-provided information
• Compile base maps and create figures, models, and plan sets for various civil engineering projects
• Coordinate with project engineers to clarify design requirements and incorporate feedback
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all CAD deliverables
• Work both independently and collaboratively within project teams

• High school diploma required; associate degree or AutoCAD/Civil 3D training preferred
• 2 to 5 years of experience using AutoCAD or Civil 3D for civil engineering or construction design
• Strong understanding of preparing and organizing construction drawings and plan sets
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to communicate clearly - both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and manage deadlines
