JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Non-union role
  • Low voltage knowledge - 24VAC, 24VDC, or other VDC signals such as 0-10 VDC signals or 4-20 MA signals.
  • Safe practices
  • Shift flexibility - 1st shift, 2nd shift, and 3rd shift. Most shifts are 1st, but we do have occasional 2nd and 3rd shifts.
  • Travel flexibility in the Bay area. Peninsula, North Bay, East Bay, and South Bay.
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • Pass background check.

Technical Skills:
  • Understanding of Building Management Systems (Client), especially Client and Facility Explorer Installation, commissioning, and programming of HVAC control equipment (controllers, sensors, actuators, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting and repair of Client hardware/software, including network field controllers and supervisory devices
  • Reading and interpreting HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls schematics
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems: VAVs, RTUs, fan coils, -- If more experienced • air handlers, chillers, boilers
  • Software configuration of Client including graphics, schedules, set points, trends, alarms, and logic sequences
  • Basic IT/networking for controls, including BACnet/IP, MSTP, and other controls protocols
  • Use of test equipment for commissioning and diagnostics (multimeter, temperature sensors, manometer, etc.)
  • Calibration and maintenance of field devices (thermostats, temperature/humidity sensors, actuators, etc.)

Relevant Experience
  • Installing and commissioning client Client systems for commercial or institutional buildings Programming and configuring client software platforms (Metasys, Facility Explorer).
  • Diagnosing and resolving system faults, connectivity issues, and performance problem
  • Performing preventive and reactive maintenance on HVAC and controls systems
  • Integrating and upgrading system components, including legacy system migration
  • Coordinating with electricians, mechanical contractors, and other trades
  • Providing on-site training or technical support for building operator
  • Managing service documentation and maintaining detailed work records
  • Certifications and Training (Highly Valued)
  • Client product training (Metasys, Facility Explorer, etc.)
  • HVAC Technician Certification (EPA 608, NATE, etc.)
  • Associate's degree or technical diploma (HVAC, controls, electronics, or related field
