Facilities Electrician $50/hr | Full-Time | Fremont, CA

Shift: MondayFriday, 6:00 AM3:00 PM (occasional weekends as needed)

Locations: Fremont, Palo Alto, Hayward, and other East Bay/Peninsula sites

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Electrician to support electrical operations across multiple cutting-edge R&D facilities. In this role, you will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of electrical systems while ensuring full safety and regulatory compliance.

You'll work both independently and collaboratively on daily maintenance, complex electrical projects, equipment upgrades, and system improvements. If you enjoy solving problems, working with innovative technology, and supporting mission-critical facilitiesthis is the role for you.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical equipment using strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Diagnose and repair industrial systems, including:
    • Boilers, cooling towers, chillers
    • Air compressors, air dryers, pumps
    • Air handling units, exhaust ventilation
    • Electric doors, overhead cranes
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance, respond to trouble calls, and assist in emergency repairs.
  • Install conduit, pull wire, and connect devices using lifts and ladders.
  • Interpret and use complex electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Develop SOPs and preventive maintenance programs for facility equipment.
  • Work with low and high voltage systems up to 480 VAC.
  • Troubleshoot switchgear, motor controls, drives, and electronic components.
  • Utilize CMMS software for work order management.
  • Travel between main East Bay and Peninsula sites as required.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience as an Industrial or Facilities Electrician
  • Proficiency with electrical meters, testing equipment, and hand tools
  • Foreman Electrician certifications (ETC, IMI, EMT) are a plus
  • Knowledge of drives and PLCs is highly preferred

Work Environment

You'll be based primarily in Fremont, with additional work at sites in Palo Alto and Hayward. These facilities operate 24/7, and while the main shift is MondayFriday, flexibility for occasional weekend work is appreciated.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, CA.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
