Job Overview: As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will serve as a visible presence at store entrances and exits, actively working to prevent theft and fraud while ensuring a safe environment for both associates and customers. You will engage with customers through eye contact, smiles, and greetings, effectively deterring theft by demonstrating a strong presence in company-issued attire. You will monitor store policies regarding package inspections and patrol the sales floor to identify potential theft indicators, collaborating closely with store leadership to ensure adherence to loss prevention directives and minimizing operational shortages. Your dedication to protecting Ross's assets is paramount.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
  • One year of retail supervisory experience or similar training preferred.
  • One year of loss prevention/security training preferred.
  • Active Security Guard License preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven relationship-building capabilities with store team members.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Capability to resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including background checks and drug testing is a must.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to spend 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving throughout the store.
  • Ability to lift objects over 25 lbs.
  • Regular bending, stooping, or crouching as needed.
  • Additional qualifications may apply based on specific assignments.

The base pay range for this position is $17.39 - $17.89, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This range is one part of the complete compensation package, with additional benefits varying by role and location.
