Title:Housekeeper

Reports To: Business Operations Manager
Summary: Cleans residential housing, apartment unit, and commercial property such as offices and clinics thoroughly using appropriate cleaning agents, equipment and appliances.
Essential Functions:
• Cleans residential housing, apartment unit, and commercial property such as offices and clinics thoroughly. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
• Dusting furniture, cleaning bathroom, scrubbing bathtub, taking out trash, mopping, vacuuming and sweeping floor.
• Cleaning stove and refrigerator as required.
• Changing sheets and/or pillowcases and making the bed as required.
• Performing laundry work as required.
• Uses appropriate cleaning agents, equipment and appliances during the course of cleaning.
• Performs house-cleaning duties in accordance with proper procedures and methods at a specified time period.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Graduate of Self-Help for the Elderly's Housekeeping Training Class preferred.
• Must pass a strength test for physical fitness for the job: be able to lift items up to 30 lb and move heavy and bulky items up to 50 lbs during the course of cleaning.
• Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours a day.
• Ability to communicate in English preferred.
• Must be able to travel via public transportation or personal/department vehicle for the performance of job duties. If driving, must have and maintain a valid CA driver license, satisfactory driving record, and auto insurance coverage as specified in Self-Help's policy.
