Responsibilities

As a Produce Clerk you will:

• Stock, present, and prepare produce as set by the Department schematics
• Ensure accurate tagging and pricing of all product items
• Manage proper stocking and rotation of merchandise, trimming, watering, and merchandising to maintain freshness
• Control inventory to maximize product freshness and availability
• Answer customer questions in a friendly and helpful manner
• Assist in the proper stocking and rotation of merchandise in the Produce Department

Team members under 18 are restricted from the following tasks:

• Using a knife (other than safety cutters)
• Using a ladder
• Operating garbage or cardboard compactor
• Operating motor?powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks)
• Working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods of time

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age
• Dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule, including night, weekends, and holidays
• Show mutual respect for others and maintain a high code of ethics within Sprouts culture of diversity, equity and inclusion
• Positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
• Ability to perform repetitious activities, multi?task, prioritize, and stay organized
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, lift, stack, and maneuver heavy objects up to 50 lbs., and move a utility cart holding 20 lbs.
• Walk up to 5 miles in an 8?hour shift
• Adhere to all safety, health, OSHA and Weights and Measures regulations
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Pay Range

$17.70 $23.88 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
