MDM Engineer

We are seeking an MDM Engineer to provide expert guidance on Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and Office 365 tenant management within their End-User Computing (EUC) team.

Responsibilities:

Architecture & Deployment

• Design, configure, and deploy Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Identity Protection to support hybrid identity and Zero Trust strategies.

• Architect, implement, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop environments leveraging Nerdio Manager for Enterprise for automation, image management, and cost optimization.

• Integrate AVD and Entra with Microsoft Intune, Defender for Endpoint, and on-premises infrastructure to ensure seamless endpoint management.

Operations & Support

• Manage user identities, access governance, and lifecycle processes using Entra and PowerShell automation.

• Oversee FSLogix profiles, host pool scaling, and session performance tuning in multi-region deployments.

• Monitor AVD performance and security via Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Nerdio Insights dashboards.

• Provide Tier 3 escalation support and troubleshooting for identity and AVD issues.

Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain RBAC, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Just-in-Time (JIT) access models.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and SOPs for identity and virtual desktop environments.

Automation & Optimization

• Use PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Graph API for provisioning, reporting, and policy enforcement.

• Drive continuous improvement through automation of AVD image updates, scaling, and user onboarding workflows in Nerdio Manager.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and client success teams to streamline user experiences and reduce operational overhead.

Requirements or Required Skills/Abilities:

• 3+ years of experience administering Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD and Azure Virtual Desktop environments.

• Strong scripting and automation background (PowerShell, Graph API, JSON templates).

• Working knowledge of Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Azure Networking, and Hybrid Join scenarios.

• Familiarity with Windows 11 multisession, MSIX App Attach, and FSLogix.

• Workspace One experience is a plus.

• Preferred certifications:

• AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate

• AZ-140: Configuring and Operating Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop

• MS-102: Microsoft 365 Administrator

Education and/or Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
