Contract Role: IAM Delivery & Escalation Manager

Location: Can sit anywhere but would prefer Greenville, SC. Fully remote but would like them to come in and meet with stakeholders. Greenville is first location, Salisbury would be second choice.

Working Hours:8-5 EST

Environment:Enterprise-scale IAM landscape with high visibility and frequent executive interaction.

Role Overview

This role is outcome-driven and execution-focused, acting as the single point of accountability for driving progress, managing escalations, and ensuring predictable delivery.

Our request is to supply a self-directed operator capable of working independently, enforcing timelines, and engaging senior stakeholders without handholding

Scope of Responsibility

IAM Project Delivery

  • Own day-to-day execution of IAM initiatives, ensuring plans, milestones, and dependencies are clearly defined and actively managed.
  • Drive task completion across internal teams and third-party partners; challenge missed commitments and re-baseline as needed.
  • Identify delivery risks early and escalate with clear, actionable mitigation strategies.
  • Provide concise, executive-ready status reporting (progress, risks, decisions required).
IAM Escalation Management
  • Serve as the primary owner for IAM escalations, including high-severity access issues and service disruptions.
  • Lead incident coordination across engineering, security, operations, and vendor teams.
  • Ensure timely resolution aligned to SLAs and business impact.
  • Manage stakeholder communications throughout the escalation lifecycle and ensure closure actions are completed.


Stakeholder & Global Coordination
  • Coordinate across stakeholders in US and EU time zones , with delivery and support teams distributed globally, including India.
  • Lead war rooms, escalation calls, and steering updates with confidence and structure.
  • Translate technical updates into clear business outcomes and next steps.


Required Core Competencies
  • Time & Priority Management: Ability to manage multiple parallel initiatives and escalations without loss of control.
  • Escalation Leadership: Proven experience owning escalations end-to-end, not just facilitating meetings.
  • Stakeholder Management: Comfortable engaging and influencing senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Accountability Enforcement: Willingness to set expectations, hold teams to commitments, and escalate decisively when required.
  • Operational Discipline: Strong structure, documentation, and follow-through.


Preferred (Not Required) IAM Experience

Hands-on IAM engineering is not required ; however, familiarity with IAM concepts and platforms is preferred. Exposure to one or more of the following is a plus:
  • Active Directory
  • IBM Security Verify Governance (ISVG/ISIM)
  • Saviynt
  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • CyberArk


Success Criteria

Success is defined by predictable delivery , reduced escalation cycle time , clear stakeholder communication , and measurable improvement in IAM execution discipline .
