Field Service Engineer - Injection Molding & Automation
$37-$40/hour + overtime | Midwest-Based (Preferred: Illinois / Greater Chicago Area) | Up to 80% Travel

- Install and commission injection molding and automation systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC issues
- Deliver preventive maintenance and emergency service
- Train end-users on equipment operation and care
- Collaborate with engineering teams and provide detailed service reports
- Support software updates and robotic integration
- 3-5 years of experience in injection molding or related machinery
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Familiarity with industrial automation (Fanuc, ABB, conveyors, IO mapping)
- PLC experience (Siemens TIA Portal, Step7, or Allen-Bradley)
- Ability to read schematics and work independently in the field
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree/certification preferred)
- Valid driver's license and passport (or ability to obtain)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and service software
- Based in the Midwest U.S. (Illinois preferred)
- Willingness to travel up to 80%, including occasional international trips
