Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Senior Plumbing Estimator (Remote) to lead comprehensive cost analysis and bid development for complex commercial plumbing projects nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex project plans, specifications, and scope documents for comprehensive plumbing systems

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for commercial plumbing, medical gas, and process piping installations

• Evaluate subcontractor proposals and vendor quotes for technical compliance and competitive pricing

• Prepare complete cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and project indirect costs

• Coordinate with project teams and business development to finalize competitive bid proposals

• Conduct virtual job site assessments and participate in remote preconstruction meetings

• Maintain current databases of material costs, labor rates, and installation productivity factors

• Review constructability and identify value engineering opportunities for cost optimization

Requirements
Must-Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred

• 7-10 years experience in commercial plumbing estimating with projects over $1M

• Proficiency with estimating software including Trimble QuickPen, Bluebeam, or similar platforms

• Expert knowledge of plumbing codes, ASPE standards, and commercial installation practices

• Strong communication skills for remote collaboration and client presentations

Nice-to-Haves

• ASPE membership or Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) designation

• Experience with design-build, design-assist, and integrated project delivery methods

• Previous field experience in commercial plumbing or pipefitting trades
