Job Title: Litigation Attorney (Commercial Litigation)
Location: New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA

Position Overview:
Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking a seasoned Litigation Attorney specializing in commercial litigation to join their Philadelphia or New York office. This role entails managing all phases of litigation and maintaining regular client interaction. The ideal candidate is an experienced litigator with eight to twelve years of substantial commercial litigation experience, including first-chair trial work, and is adept at handling complex legal issues in business and contract disputes, as well as white-collar defense.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all phases of commercial litigation cases, including contract and business disputes and white-collar defense.
• Serve as the primary client contact, providing counsel and developing strategies tailored to client needs.
• Act as first-chair in trials, handling complex litigation matters independently.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required, with active licensure to practice law in either Pennsylvania or New York, depending on office location.
• Superior academic record and exceptional legal writing skills.
• At least 8-12 years of experience in general commercial litigation.
• Proven first-chair trial experience in significant cases.
• Clerkship experience is preferred.
• Prior experience in a large law firm is an advantage, though not mandatory.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This position is based in a traditional office environment, requiring regular use of standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, printers, and copiers. The role also requires a high level of visual acuity to analyze data, draft and review legal documents, and perform computer-based tasks.
