Pet Poison Helpline (PPH) Representative I, Job Description:
The PPH Representative is responsible for responding to incoming cases on Pet PoisonHelpline and our animal nurse lines via telephone and chat regarding potential toxic exposures, poisonings, and other adverse events or general care inquiries from pet owners. PPH Reps take full histories and details of the events, triage the cases, and provide accurate medical, health, and safety information to the callers. PPH Reps document each case in an electronic record and follow up as necessary to ensure the well-being of the animals. Given the nature of the position, many pet owners are calling under stressful circumstances and are therefore in distress. PPH Reps must be able to manage cases under pressure and be comfortable talking to people in various emotional states.
