Actuarial Coordinator

Description:

The Actuarial Coordinator will support key actuarial functions across valuation, financial reporting, experience studies, and model operations. This position is designed to provide broad exposure to multiple areas of the actuarial organization while contributing to both recurringprocesses and project-based work.

Your role and impact

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with recurring actuarial processes such as valuation, reporting, data preparation, and result reviews.
  • Updating documentation, supporting controls, and helping enhance workflows and efficiency.
  • Preparing datasets, conducting analysis, and supporting assumption-related work.
  • Collaborating with partners across Actuarial, Finance, IT, and Operations to support shared deliverables.
  • Building technical skills and staying updated on relevant actuarial practices.

What sets you up for success
  • A bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or related field
  • Progression towards an ASA or FSA designation
  • At least three to five years in actuarial roles is expected
  • Strong proficiency with AXIS modeling software with at least two years of experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large data sets
  • Familiarity with actuarial concepts, financial reporting, or insurance products
  • Solid communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Excel; exposure to actuarial software or programming tools is a plus
  • Curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new technical skills
