Job Title: Project/Technical Coordinator
Location: San Mateo, CA (Remote with On-Site Requirement)
Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)

Job Description:
The Project/Technical Coordinator will support the Health Data Services team by arranging meetings, tracking work progress, and documenting key findings. This role ensures effective communication between the Director of Health Data Services and project staff, enabling smooth execution of ongoing data and technical initiatives. The coordinator will focus on organizing workflows, developing processes, and building reporting tools that help the team scale efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Support a well-functioning, organized team by creating scalable work structures and improving customer communication.
• Coordinate numerous small technical projects within the Data team and report updates to operational users.
• Develop process and procedure documentation to streamline team operations.
• Build forms, trackers, and reporting tools to support project monitoring and delivery.
• Track and manage staff deliverables to ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Manage and maintain vendor relationships.
• Oversee and coordinate staff training activities.
• Ensure the Director is informed on project statuses and decisions are communicated to relevant staff.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Coordinator or in a similar role.
• Strong self-starter who can work independently with minimal direction.
• Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
• Solid understanding of basic project management principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with MS Project or Smartsheet.
• Hands-on experience with SharePoint and MS Teams.

• Experience in Healthcare, Government, or County Health environments.
• Familiarity with PMI or PMP methodologies.
• Experience collaborating with data engineers.
