Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Vice President, Information Technology (IT) to lead our IDEAYA IT Team. The Senior Vice President, Information Technology (SVP, IT) is a strategic and operational leader responsible for defining and executing IDEAYAs enterprise technology strategy during its evolution from a clinical?stage to a commercial?stage biotechnology company. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, this executive will oversee all aspects of IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, data management, and compliance systems, ensuring technology supports financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and the scaling of commercial operations. The position is based in our South San Francisco headquarters and requires onsite presence four days per week.

What Youll Do

  • Develop and execute an enterprise IT roadmap that supports IDEAYAs commercialization and long?term growth.
  • Partner with the Chief Accounting Officer and executive leadership to align IT investments with financial, operational, and compliance goals.
  • Lead implementation and optimization of core enterprise systems, including ERP, QMS, LIMS, and CRM platforms.
  • Oversee enterprise cybersecurity and data governance programs to ensure security, integrity, and availability.
  • Own the enterprise Business Continuity Program (BCP), providing strategic leadership to ensure resilient IT operations, alignment with corporate risk management, and readiness to recover critical services during disruptive events.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives across Finance, Quality, Regulatory, and Commercial functions.
  • Manage IT service delivery, infrastructure, and operations with focus on scalability and reliability.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high?performing IT organization to support IDEAYAs growth.
  • Collaborate cross?functionally to integrate technology solutions that enable commercial readiness and analytics.
  • Develop and manage IT budgets and vendor relationships to ensure cost efficiency and strategic alignment.

Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or Masters preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including at least 5 years in an executive role within life sciences.
  • Demonstrated success leading IT through the transition from R&D to commercial operations.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (SOX, GxP, 21?CFR?Part?11) and validated systems.
  • Proven experience with enterprise system implementation (ERP, QMS, LIMS, CRM).
  • Strong background in cybersecurity, data management, and business continuity planning.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

IDEAYA offers a competitive total rewards package that includes merit?based salary increases, discretionary short?term incentive plan participation, and discretionary stock option awards (subject to board approval). Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage (100?% company paid for employees and 90?% for dependents), 401(k), ESPP, and wellness programs. The expected salary range for this role is $340,000$420,000, with final compensation determined by factors such as location, experience, and performance.
