San Francisco, CA - Onsite 4 Days/Week (Mon‑Thurs)

We're looking for self‑starters hungry to learn, open to coaching, energized by challenge, and excited to be part of a team that wins together. As a BDR at Okta, you'll help tell our story, spark conversations, and build pipeline for one of the top sales orgs in tech.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Engage inbound leads and qualify interest in Okta's products – you'll be the first human touchpoint for many of our future customers
  • Generate high‑quality meetings and pipeline by creating thoughtful, relevant outreach via phone, email, and social
  • Conduct discovery calls to uncover real business problems – and tee up Account Executives to solve them
  • Use tools like Salesforce and Outreach to manage your book of business and stay organized
  • Hit your KPIs and quota while having fun with team competitions, shout‑outs, and mentorship

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
  • Strong communicator, written and verbal – you know how to connect
  • Comfortable juggling priorities and managing your time in a fast‑paced environment
  • Self‑motivated – you don't wait to be told what to do; you figure it out (and ask questions when you're stuck)
  • Coachable – you're open to feedback and excited to get better every day
  • Curious – you love to learn, explore, and ask “why?”
  • Collaborative – you believe success is a team sport, and you're all in

A Few Logistics

  • This role is onsite in our San Francisco office 4 days per week (Mon‑Thurs)
  • If you're not already local, you'll need to relocate within an agreed‑upon timeframe – note that Okta does not provide relocation assistance
  • You'll attend in‑person onboarding in either San Francisco or Chicago to kick off your journey

Below is the annual On Target Compensation (OTE) range for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Your actual OTE, which is inclusive of base salary and incentive compensation, will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. Okta also offers equity (where applicable) and benefits, including health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The OTE range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $71,998.40 USD – $71,998.40 USD.
