The Pricing team is a part of Capital Markets and is responsible for shaping JSA's aircraft portfolio by evaluating acquisition, sale, and placement opportunities and managing the financing of our investments. To make this happen, Capital Markets closely partners with the entire company, working with Marketing, Risk Management, Technical, and Legal to understand the commercial aviation market environment, key risks, and the latest technological issues affecting airlines and the value of our investments.

Capital Markets utilizes internal and external information to make informed decisions on large ticket transactions with international airlines and financial institutions each year. The Capital Markets Analyst has an important and influential role in determining the overall shape and direction of JSA by owning the deal process from beginning to end.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Capital Markets team to evaluate and give recommendations on the financial and commercial terms of potential aircraft investments, sales, and aircraft placement campaigns
  • Develop and give presentations on JSA's business strategy for internal and external use
  • Periodic monitoring of our aircraft portfolio and preparation of related internal and external reports
  • Assist with transaction closings and the internal approval process
  • Support miscellaneous corporate finance, industry research, and internal database initiatives

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in a related analytical role
  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Economics, Engineering, Accounting or Finance
  • Strong MS Excel quantitative and financial modeling skills
  • Knowledge of discounted cash‑flow modeling techniques (DCF), investment return analysis, capital budgeting (NPV/IRR), financial statement analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially using MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to work as part of a small team; Capital Markets works closely with the Leadership Team and MHC
  • A passion for, or background in, aviation, commercial air travel, or aircraft a plus
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg fixed income and interest rate derivatives functions a plus
