Overview

H&R Block is looking for a Remote Tax Professional. You will serve clients with diverse tax needs and receive advanced tax training to be successful. We encourage a culture of belonging and a commitment to helping clients, associates, and communities.

What you'lldo

• Conduct tax interviews with clients and support do-it-yourself online tax clients through virtual tools (video conferencing, phone, chat, email).
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Collaborate with leaders and peers to coordinate remote work and impact results.
• Grow your tax expertise.

What you'll bring to the team

• Experience completing individual tax returns.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Access to high-speed, reliable internet.
• Experience with technology (MS Teams and Outlook).
• Ability to communicate complex tax situations clearly via phone, email, and chat, inspiring client confidence.
• Effective customer service skills; analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent; continuing education and IRS/state requirements as applicable.
• Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during peak tax season.
• Skill in researching information using tax tools and IRS publications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / equivalent or higher.
• Enrollment in or completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course is not a guarantee of employment.
• Must complete continuing education and meet all IRS/state requirements applicable to the role.

Benefits and compensation

• Pay range: $11.00 - $80.00 per hour. Local minimum wage laws apply; compensation may depend on experience, education, and location.
