Job Title: Buyer Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Buyer who possesses a strong analytical approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have a basic familiarity with shipping, receiving, and buying processes, and be proficient in using basic Excel tools such as Vlookup and Pivots. This role operates in a fast-paced environment, processing 30-50 orders per week, and requires working with various ERP/PLM systems including Jira, Netsuite, EMS, SAP, and Oracle. You will be responsible for component procurement using dashboards and the Coupa system, working closely with suppliers to manage supply demand and expedite deliveries as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Procure components using dashboards and the Coupa system.

  • Conduct BOM analysis and address shortages.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to manage supply demands and expedite deliveries.

  • Resolve past due deliveries and update POs with current information.

  • Run weekly reports to track open POs and follow up with vendors.

  • Resolve shipping and receiving issues, invoice variances, and handle purchase order reconciliations.

  • Manage RMAs in coordination with the Incoming Quality Control team.

  • Onboard new suppliers and resolve shipping and billing discrepancies.

  • Deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in buying, managing suppliers, and purchase orders management.

  • Working knowledge of supply chain practices.

  • Strong analytical capabilities and business savvy.

  • Excellent communication skills for various group sizes and levels.

  • Strategic thinking and tactical execution abilities.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Excel and ability to learn technical applications quickly.

  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a relevant field.

  • Experience working independently and managing multiple tasks.

  • Ability to maintain a positive and collaborative attitude.

  • Proven teamwork skills and aptitude to partner with various stakeholders.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Francisco, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
