Senior Litigation Attorney (Employment Law)

Hybrid | Bay Area

A respected California-based law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney with strong employment law experience to join its growing practice. This role offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated litigation matters while working in a collegial, supportive environment with a sustainable billable requirement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, law and motion, depositions, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation
  • Handle employment-related litigation and advisory matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims
  • Represent public and private entity clients in employment and labor matters
  • Conduct or oversee workplace investigations and prepare findings and recommendations
  • Draft and review employment policies, handbooks, and compliance materials
  • Prepare and argue writs of mandate and administrative appeals
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective litigation strategies
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys as needed

Qualifications
  • JD from an accredited law school
  • 7+ years of litigation experience, with a strong focus on employment law
  • Solid knowledge of California and federal employment and labor laws
  • Experience working with public entities is a plus, but not required
  • Trial, writ, and appellate experience preferred
  • Excellent writing, advocacy, and client?management skills
  • Billable requirement: 1,700 hours

Benefits & Compensation
  • Salary range: $220,000$235,000
