Help a local homeless shelter with activities and operations!
Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency (BOSS) is an Alameda County-based nonprofit that is fighting to end mass homelessness, mass incarceration, and community violence. BOSS serves over 6,000 people a year - our programs include shelter and housing, education and employment, health and mental health services, violence intervention/prevention, trauma recovery support, community healing, and more.
We are looking for volunteers to provide support to our Shelter Network - we have shelters in Berkeley, Oakland and Hayward. Activities may include greeting incoming residents, helping to organize and set up for activities, office support, gardening, organizing supplies, and more.
We are also open to any kind of groups or activities you may want to lead - meditation, yoga, art, self-care, talking to landlords or employers/professional presentation, and more!
Be part of a team dedicated to social change, and make a difference in people's lives!
Thank you!
