We are currently seeking a warm and engaging Support Assistant to join our teams. The Support Assistant will collaborate with lead teachers and assistants at all levels to provide a warm, nurturing, and prepared Montessori environment when regular classroom staff are unavailable. The Montessori Toddler program serves children under 3 years old, the Primary program includes children ages 3-6, encompassing the kindergarten year, and the Elementary program includes children 6 - 12 years old. The support assistant assists these programs by providing break coverage, playground supervision, naptime support, carline, student pickup/drop-off, and more. When not assigned to a classroom, this role contributes to material making, administrative tasks, and other duties as requested. This individual is flexible and adaptable to various environments and responsibilities. This role includes mentorship and abundant opportunities to learn from experienced Montessori teachers in a spirited, collegial environment.

This position operates on a 10-month school calendar year (mid-August through mid-June), with paid breaks during the school year. During the summer months, optional four-week summer camp employment opportunities are available.

This is a full-time (37.5-hour/week) position; Monday - Friday (7:30 am - 3:30 pm. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, as well as a 403(b) retirement plan.

Required Qualifications:

- A minimum of 6 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units; must be willing to complete 12 units promptly
- A joyful, flexible, and collaborative attitude
- A genuine respect for and interest in young children
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and move comfortably between floor and standing positions
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Three professional references from recent supervisors

Preferred Qualifications:

- 12 or more ECE credits
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working in a Montessori setting
- Familiarity with Montessori philosophy and practices
