Position Overview:
Provides clerical and receptionist duties in a nursing unit. Responsible for knowing the philosophy, objectives, and policies of the Medical Center. Contributes to the development and maintenance of a communication system that promotes positive intra and interdepartmental working relationships.
Job Description:
EDUCATION
* Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
* HS Diploma
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
* BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider preferred
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
* Recent experience or education as a Ward Clerk in health care environment or equivalent.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
* Basic computer skills required.
* Knowledge of English language w/strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, problem solve and meet deadlines
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills in a diverse population.
* Training skills required.
* Basic keyboarding and computer skills
* Must be able to work in a rapidly changing and challenging environment and take appropriate actions in emergent situations.

Pay Range is $29.70 to $39.72 / hour
The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
