Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated Sr/ Principal Hardware Engineer to join our team full-time at our Bay Area facility. This is an on-site position offering hands-on experience with cutting-edge medical device technology.
In this role, you will be a key contributor to the development and optimization of the system, working closely with our multidisciplinary engineering team. You will take ownership of a critical project focused on optimizing various subsystems of our device, while also supporting electrical testing of an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) and overall system refinement as we prepare for design freeze and clinical deployment.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Lead the design, development, and optimization of various subsystems towards performance enhancement of core wireless technology
• Lead ASIC bring up, characterization, debug and documentation of test results
• Design and execute test plans for electrical and ultrasound system characterization
• Document results of characterization and verification tests in test reports
• Support verification activities in preparation for regulatory submissions
• Work with external vendors for device development and testing services
• Troubleshoot technical challenges and implement creative solutions to improve device performance, reliability, and manufacturability
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all development activities in accordance with our Quality Management System (QMS)
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions to advance the product toward clinical milestones
Required Qualifications
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
• Strong understanding of analog/mixed-signal circuits with relevant experience in ASIC validation testing
• 6+ years of professional experience in the medical device industry or similarly regulated industry (aerospace, defense, etc.) working under a Quality Management System
• Demonstrated proficiency with electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, and multimeters
• Experience with MATLAB or Python for data analysis, test automation, or simulation
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Excellent communication skills and ability to document technical work clearly
